My Journey to SLP

I grew up in rural West Virginia babysitting my younger sisters, volunteering in children’s church, and helping younger students with their homework. I knew from a young age that I wanted to work with kids, and more specifically, to help them learn new skills that would benefit their lives as a whole. The joy that comes from seeing a child learn something for the first time is what I was seeking when I chose this profession. I have seen the incredible transformation that occurs when a child finds confidence in their ability to communicate & I hope to help more children experience this in the future!

I am a proud graduate of Marshall University (Go Herd!) and have spent my career dedicated to the world of communication. With a background that spans from early intervention to public schools and outpatient settings to tele-practice, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of needs. I bring that clinical expertise—and a lot of heart—to every session.

My Approach

As a busy parent, I believe in a therapy environment that doesn’t simply feel like another chore on your to-do list. By using a play-based, naturalistic approach, I help children build skills in a way that feels rewarding and fun. I love building relationships with each family I work with, ensuring that you feel supported and empowered throughout the entire process.

  • Licensed by the WV Board of Examiners of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology

  • Certified Clinical Competence (CCC) via the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA)

  • Student Support Certification via the WV Department of Education
